At Brae at Chapelton, we believe cafés should be for everyone — including curious toddlers, tiny adventurers, and the grown-ups who love them. That’s why we’ve created a relaxed, genuinely family-friendly space where parents can enjoy great coffee and cake while little ones feel just as welcome.
And now, we’re adding something extra special for our youngest visitors: the launch of our fun Scavenger Hunt for Little Explorers in Chapelton
Designed to encourage curiosity, movement, and imagination, our scavenger hunt invites children to explore their surroundings and enjoy Chapelton at their own pace — with Brae as the perfect starting (or finishing!) point.

We know that visiting a café with children can sometimes feel stressful — but at Brae, there’s no pressure to keep little voices hushed or to rush your visit. Our environment is relaxed, cozy, and intentionally family-friendly, making it easy to settle in and enjoy some quality time together.
Inside the café, you’ll find a large selection of toys, games, and books available for your child to enjoy. These live on our toy trolley at the counter, just below the cake display, and children are welcome to help themselves during their visit. Whether it’s puzzles, books, or quiet games, there’s something to keep small hands busy while you enjoy a hot drink.
Easy Access for Buggies and Little Legs
Getting in and out of Brae is simple. Our front door is wide enough to accommodate buggies, and with no step at the entrance, access is straightforward. In good weather, buggies can also be stored at the rear of the building.
Chapelton benefits from free parking, meaning you’re only a short walk from car to café — ideal when you’re juggling bags, coats, and energetic children.
Thoughtful Touches for Mealtimes
We’ve thought carefully about the little details that make café visits easier for families. We offer:
Plastic cups, plates, and small forks and knives for children
IKEA highchairs with trays, sanitised after every use
Wet wipes available on the toy trolley if you’d like extra peace of mind
FREE babyccinos — because every little café visit should feel special
Our kids’ menu is designed with younger diners in mind, and we’re always happy to help make mealtimes as relaxed as possible.
Baby Changing & Practical Support
Our baby changing facilities are located within the accessible toilets at the back of the café. For your convenience, we provide baby wipes and nappy bags, so you’re never caught short.
You’ll also find tap water available for self-service on the toy trolley, or you can ask a member of our team to help at any time.
Breastfeeding-Friendly and Proud
Brae at Chapelton is a proud member of the Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland Scheme. You are always welcome to breastfeed here, and our team is happy to support you during your visit.
